From Apple to Better Sleep: The Engineers Tackling Snoring
In September 2019, two senior engineers left Apple at the height of their careers.
David Kim had spent eight years developing Apple Watch sensors. Sarah Martinez led the AI team that created Siri.
Both shared the same problem: they snored so heavily that their marriages were in crisis.
"We were creating technology that monitored heartbeats in real-time, but couldn't solve our own snoring," Kim told Stuff.
"I realised we were applying AI to everything – cars, mobile phones, homes – but sleep medicine was still using technology from the 1980s."
They left Apple with one mission: to use Artificial Intelligence to solve snoring once and for all.
The result: NeuroAir™ – the world's first "smart CPAP".
